The NIBCO® bronze Y-strainer protects equipment by filtering solids from flowing steam, gases or liquid piping systems with the use of a wire mesh straining screen. Y-strainers are installed upstream to protect valves, regulators and meters, etc. from rust, pipe scale and dirt. The strainer is a Y type with a branch angled off the flow path. The strainers are equipped with solder end connections for easy installation. It features either a tapped cap with blow-off plug for screen maintenance.
