- To attach sway bracing to various types of steel structural members
- Permits secure non-friction connection without drilling or welding
- Unique design allows offset placement on wide flange beam, I-beam, C-channel, open web, welded steel trusses and more
- Secures brace to structure either across or along the beam
- Break-off set screws allow for visual verification of proper installation torque
- The Fig. 828 is the structural attachment component of a longitudinal or lateral sway brace assembly
- Maximum horizontal design load (FM) with brace perpendicular to the beam: 1570 lb at 30 to 44 deg, 2220 lb at 45 to 59 deg, 1210 lb at 60 to 74 deg, 700 lb at 75 to 90 deg
- Maximum horizontal design load (FM) with brace parallel to the beam: 690 lb at 30 to 44 deg, 970 lb at 45 to 59 deg, 1210 lb at 60 to 74 deg, 1330 lb at 75 to 90 deg
