This 2 in Ames Deringer™ 30 double check detector type II assembly contains a 2 in assembly with grooved couplings and 2 in NPT adapter. It is designed to prevent non-health hazard pollutants from entering the potable water supply system caused by back pressure and back siphonage conditions. Deringer 30 features integral Eccentric-Seal™ butterfly shut-off valves for a short lay length and Dual-Action™ checks for high performance at low and high-flow rates. The Type II bypass is used to monitor unauthorized water usage and is primarily required on fire sprinkler systems. It may be installed under continuous pressure service to protect against both back pressure and back siphonage. Maximum working pressure is 175 psi (12 bar).
